ABSTRACT: The effects of early childhood education on preventing child labor are critical for addressing socio-economic challenges and protecting children's rights. This study investigates how early childhood education programs influence child labor prevention efforts. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in children's school enrollment and retention rates, (2) evaluate the integration of child rights education in early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in community awareness and actions against child labor. A survey design is employed to gather comprehensive data on educational impacts on child labor prevention. A purposive sample of 100 children aged 4-6 years, from vulnerable communities in Edo State, ensures relevant experiences. The case study focuses on an early childhood education center known for its efforts in child rights advocacy. Findings indicated significant improvements in school enrollment and retention rates, effectiveness of child rights education activities, and positive changes in community awareness and actions against child labor. Recommendations include integrating child rights education into early childhood curricula and collaborating with local authorities and NGOs to enforce child labor laws and support affected families.
